Original Stuff:
The sound is a funk/hip-hop/pop hybrid mixing vocal-based songs and rap-based songs with old-school and new-school grooves. Live horns and a slammin’ rhythm section give some of the tunes a little neo-soul feel, some tunes a straight-up Parliament-type feel, and others even a little rock flava. Lyrically, the songs vary from love stories to flat-out craziness to ones with a little message behind the vibe.
